A 2025 addition to the Glasgow 1770 single malt family, this Scotch whisky brings together an equal balance of peated and unpeated spirit, both double distilled and fully matured in first-fill bourbon casks. Expect annual batched releases of Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured, which is bottled at a hearty 54% ABV, natural in colour, and non-chill filtered.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Floral honey and vanilla open the show, lifted by a gentle wisp of sweet smoke. Hints of blossom and meadow grass drift through notes of toffee apples and buttery citrus peel.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied from the start, with layers of rich vanilla and double cream unfolding into tropical pineapple and bright clementine. Malty shortbread and a whisper of bonfire sweetness round things off beautifully.
Finish
Long and vanilla-led, carrying soft waves of sweet smoke and warming oak spice that linger gracefully.
